You know fantasy sports is gambling and that’s why it’s actually illegal, for really stupid bored people who like to lose (and gamble), is addictive and has gotten virtually every major media and sports company to invest. I’d say ,”go figure” but, ya know, it’s just capitalism, baby.

John Oliver’s segment on this is genuinely funny, and his point about fantasy sports being gambling dressed up as a game is hard to argue with. Where I’m from in India, fantasy leagues go absolutely mad during cricket season, and you can see how quickly casual fans get pulled in.
